Open Minds is currently looking for new volunteers to join our team and assist us with the running of our clubs and services. We welcome anyone to apply to be a volunteer with our organisation. What we look for in volunteers is an enthusiastic attitude towards helping other people. Prior experience working with learning disabilities is ideal but not essential to this role.

Our main sessions are held on Saturdays, we are looking for volunteers who would have some availability to do a Saturday, ideally one Saturday per month/ every 2 months. Open Minds runs two Saturday sessions per month. Our ‘out and about’ sessions in the community occur mid-month on a Saturday afternoon. These sessions are normally held in Nottingham City Centre or a site that is in close proximity to the centre e.g. Victoria Embankment or Wollaton Park. The craft sessions are at the end of the month also on a Saturday afternoon. The craft sessions are based at Arkwright Meadows in NG2.

Our volunteers all must complete a DBS check to work with us, Open Minds will cover the cost pending a successful interview.
